đź’ˇ What Do You See? A Meme… or Mastery?

We’re hearing it everywhere right now: “How do I make this assignment AI-proof?”

It’s a fair question. But maybe it’s not the right question.

When I look at a short, animated video of a historical figure delivering a punchy one-liner,
a meme, a joke, a TikTok-style scroll-stopper, I don’t just see entertainment.

I see an AI-proof assignment.

Not because it bans AI.
Not because it tries to outsmart the tool.
But because it demands something AI can’t fake:

✨ Original thought.
🎯 Intentional tone.
đź§  Student voice.

Imagine This…

Students choose a historical figure.
They dig into their legacy, their controversies, their contradictions.
Then they write a monologue, short, sharp, and present-tense, something that person might say if they could speak today.

They’re free to use AI to draft.
They can animate the video using tools like Pika or Kaiber.
But the interpretation, the tone, the decisions?

That’s the student’s work.
And that’s where learning lives.

🎯 So Let’s Shift the Question

Instead of:
“How do I stop them from using AI?”
Let’s ask:
“What can I assess that AI can’t fake?”

It’s not about lowering the bar.
It’s about raising the bar and demonstrating mastery for what matters most:
Reflection.
Synthesis.
Relevance.
Voice.

This is where your expertise comes in.

Because no AI can replace an educator’s ability to design something meaningful, relevant, and real.
The tools are powerful.
But your pedagogy is irreplaceable.
