Keeping Up with AI (move over Kim)
What the heck is happening NOW in the AI world?
If you have been keeping up with the recent news coming from OpenAI, you too might feel like you’ve been watching a tennis match- or this cute cat.
A lot has happened in the last few weeks. OpenAi has:
launched GPTs, where individuals with a ChatGPT4 subscription can build their own no-code app powered by AI
announced a marketplace for these GPTs (still to come)
Fired Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI
Greg Brockman, co-founder of OpenAI quits
Ilya Sutskever, co-founder of OpenAI is placed as interim CEO
OpenAI offers the CEO job back to Sam Altman
Microsoft hires Sam Altman to power up its innovation in artificial intelligence
While this has been all very interesting, I’m still exploring what the heck GPTs are and how they could be leveraged in Education.
My friend, Harry Pickens, is offering a webinar on how to create GPTs. He made a quick video to share a bit of what you will get from session. You can register here.
If you haven’t already signed up for the GPTs Builders for Education Discord Server by Teaching with Machines, please do so! It’s a space to collaborate and learn with others who share the mission of improving and innovating education.
In the following weeks I will be sharing a bit more about my goals with Teaching with Machines so that your school, teachers and students can be empowered with AI.
*Hint* Offer a Professional Development that teachers actually want to be engaged in and leave feeling empowered.
That’s it for now. If you’re in the USA, Happy Thanksgiving!
